After speaking with Jeremy, our DSG on-site supervisor, this morning, it was decided that the best way to insure the safety of our residents while the old tile is removed would be to not permitingress or egress of the upper and lower lobbies while the actual demolition is taking place. Doors and glass will be covered with a masonite-type material to keep flying chips of tile from damaging the glass. Accommodations can be made for residents with mobility concerns.
Tuesday, August 3, 2021, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the UPPER LOBBY will be closed to residents, guests, service and delivery personnel.
Wednesday, August 4, 2021, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the LOWERLOBBY will be closed to residents, guests, service and delivery personnel.
DSG will be working with the tile setters to determine a schedule that will allow limited access to mail boxes, delivery items and general ingress and egress of the building as well as access to residential units on the second floor. You will be updated as soon as a schedule has been made. Please note that tile setting currently is expected to begin on Thursday or Friday of this week (August 5-6) with an estimated completion date of August 13.
