Proper Trash Disposal and Recycling Guidelines

Dear Fellow Owners, 

I hope this message (beautifully written and submitted by one of our caring residents) finds you well. As a friendly reminder, please help us keep our building clean and organized by following these guidelines for trash and recycling: 

Recycle Only Accepted Items 

Please check the “accepted” list posted in the trash room and recycle only those items. Non-recyclable materials contaminate the recycling stream and increase costs. 

Break Down Cardboard Boxes 

Flatten all cardboard boxes before placing them in the recycling bins. Please do not throw cardboard boxes that should be recycled in regular trash. This helps save space and ensures proper disposal. "Soiled" boxes (e.g., pizza boxes) go in regular trash.

Do Not Leave Trash Outside the Trash Room 

All trash and recycling must be placed inside the designated bins in the trash room. Leaving items outside creates safety hazards and attracts pests. 

Do Not Put Electronic Items in the Trash Room 

It is your responsibility to dispose of electronics according to local e-waste guidelines. Do not put electronic devices in the trash room (including not in the battery recycling container).
