Let me first offer the board's thanks to Jack Devnew, who has provided leadership in developing a multi-unit collaboration effort towards the installation of six new HVAC units in our community. This action will lead to savings for each of the owners receiving the new units by sharing the expense from the crane needed to place these new units on the roof of our building.
Norfolk Air will be arriving at the Pilot House on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 8 am to begin the process of installing these units. The crane will be on site on Monday, as new units are expected to be placed on the roof from the surface lot between 9 am and 2 pm. We are asking for assistance from those, who currently park in the surface lot, to relocate their
vehicles for this approximate 5 hour time frame. The Proposed Parking Relocation Plan to the left is proposed for Monday, January 16, 2023. For those, who currently park in the surface lot, please locate your Current Space & Unit Number. Identify the corresponding Relocate to Space # and move your vehicle to that location in the lower level garage by 8 am Monday, January 16.
This overall installation process will take place over 3-5 days, weather conditions permitting. One of the last elements of this plan will be the removal of the legacy units from the roof. The crane will return on a day next week that is yet to be determined. We will provide as much advance notice as possible to everyone of the second day vehicle relocation plan. Currently the expectation is to complete the HVAC installation by the end of next week or no later than Friday, January 20. We appreciate everyone's patience during this transition. Keep in mind that we all will eventually need to replace an HVAC unit. Such that we continue to replace these in a group, it keeps a crane from having to come to our site 29 times, whereas we can have clusters of 5-6 units all at one time.
