Hear ye, hear ye—gather ‘round for the latest dispatch from The Evening Pilot House Post, bringing you today’s noteworthy developments from the front porch on this Wednesday April 1, 2026.
As previously noted, installation of the new exterior doors for the 1st and 2nd floor lobbies was scheduled for today. The 2nd floor lobby doors were installed successfully; however, the lower lobby doors encountered a few issues - so the old doors for that location remain. Replacement doors will need to be re-fabricated for that location, and we expect to have an updated delivery and installation timeline soon. More details will follow.
VSC has confirmed that security coverage is in place for both locations this evening, and their team will complete cleanup efforts in the morning (with regard to wiring and other related components).
Additionally, VSC has informed the Security Committee that they have identified a solution to the technical issue discovered late last week. Implementing this fix will delay final completion of the security system upgrade by approximately one week. In the interim, the legacy equipment for the 2nd floor lobby doors will remain fully operational for guest and USPS, UPS and other shippers.
Thank you,
Phil Copley

Please be aware that it requires more force then previously required to open the door to the second floor lobby.
