Repair of W Bute St Starting March 12th

We have just been notified by the city that construction to repair the lower end of W Bute St will start on Wednesday, March 12th.  It will begin with the demolition of the cobblestone pavers adjacent to the bulkhead before proceeding to excavation for the bollard foundation and finishing with the grading and reinstalling the cobblestone pavement. Work is anticipated to take 8-10 weeks, weather permitting. The contractor will use some large equipment, but will confine use of the street to the west end beyond the Pilot House driveways. The driveway at 424 W. Bute St will be blocked for up to 6 weeks. Pavement replacement work will start on the north side to reduce this closure time.

The city has requested for the safety of all, that residents should not walk into the work zone or try to get information from the workers.
