Friday Night on the Dock — BYOB Social - 9/11 @ 6PM

Please join the Pilot House Social Committee on the dock this Friday, September 11th at 6:00 PM for our September BYOB Social.

This Friday also marks twenty-five years since September 11, 2001. At some point during the evening, we’ll take a quiet moment together and raise our glasses — to those who began their day at a desk or in an airport - busy with life; to those who ran toward danger; and to the simple good fortune of standing on a dock at sunset among neighbors 25 years later. It is a small gesture, but it feels like a fitting way to remember the day together.

The customary arrangements apply: BYOB and a BYO appetizer to share. Homemade dips, store-bought favorites, and anything assembled in a hurry on the way down the elevator are all equally welcome. Seating on the dock is limited, so if you would like a chair, we recommend bringing one.

And the weather? So far, so good. Friday evening is looking warm and cloudy, with only a modest chance of a passing shower — and the chances appear to improve as the evening goes on. In other words, things are looking promising for the dock. As always, the Committee will keep an eye on the forecast and let you know if anything changes.

Bring your favorite drink, a bite to share, and come enjoy an evening on the dock with your neighbors. We’ll take care of the sunset and the river breeze.
