Dominion Energy has notified the Pilot House of a planned power interruption on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. The power outage will occur between the hours of 8:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21 and 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. This outage is expected to impact the entire building and all unit owners at the Pilot House. It will not affect any other residents in the Freemason neighborhood.
The Pilot House will be replacing our Fire Pump Controller, which is a critical component of our fire safety equipment. The Fire Pump Controller is original to the construction of the building and requires replacement. In order to properly install this equipment, we are required to incur this partial day power interruption.
While the Pilot House Board apologizes for any inconvenience you may experience, we consider your safety to be our primary concern. For those residents, who utilize tankless water heaters, we suggest you turn off your tankless water heater at your circuit breaker prior to the initiation of this power outage. We will also be powering down the elevators approximately 30 minutes prior to the power interruption or approximately 7:30 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. We expect the elevators will remain unavailable for approximately 8.5 hours on that day and will return to operation, once the power is fully restored.
